Extended Disjoint Multipath Routing Protocol for the Ad Hoc Wireless Network

چکیده
The ad hoc network consists of mobile hosts which communicate with each other by radio media. The mobile host must route data to the host within the radio range by hopping to the destination host. Since the hosts are mobile and the network topology is variable, routing protocols have been an important research issue in the network area. On-demand routing protocol is an efficient protocol in the ad hoc network. The routing path discovery and data resend operator are the major overheads of the on-demand routing protocol. Disjoint multipath routing reduces the frequency of routing path discovery and data resent. In this paper, we extend the disjoint multipath routing to increase the alternate routes and reduce the frequency of the route discovery. The simulation results show that our proposal outperforms the on-demand and disjoint multipath protocols. Keywork: ad hoc network, routing, multipath, disjoint path, on-demand protocol.

Multipath Node-Disjoint Routing with Backup List Based on the AODV Protocol
In recent years, routing has been the most focused area in ad hoc networks research. On-demand routing in particular, is widely developed in bandwidth constrained mobile wireless ad hoc networks because of its effectiveness and efficiency. Most proposed on-demand routing protocols are built and relied on single route for each data session. Whenever there is a link disconnection on the active ro...

Ad hoc networks are multi-hop wireless networks without a pre-installed infrastructure. Such networks are widely used in military applications and in emergency situations as they permit the establishment of a communication network at very short notice with a very low cost. Video is very sensitive for packet loss and wireless ad-hoc networks are error prone due to node mobility and weak links. H...

A wireless ad hoc network typically refers to any set of wireless networks where all devices have equal status on a network and are free to associate with any other wireless ad hoc network devices in their range. As the nature of these networks, they commonly do not have external power supplies, and each node has a limited internal power source. In this paper, we put forward a new routing proto...

In this paper we consider a multipath extension to the dynamic source routing (DSR) protocol proposed by Johnson and Maltz, an on-demand routing protocol for ad hoc wireless networks. This extension keeps two node disjoint paths between the source and the destination of a routing process without introducing extra overhead. Several optimization options are also considered. Simulation is conducte...
متن کاملOn-demand Partial-Disjoint Multipath Routing with Low Delay for Wireless Ad-hoc Networks
Wireless ad-hoc networks are characterized by the lack of infrastructure, use of wireless links with limited bandwidth and frequent topological changes. On-demand multipath routing in wireless ad-hoc networks is effective in providing resilience to route failures and to successful load balancing. Previous work shows that on-demand multipath routing protocols achieve lower end-to-end delay, rout...
